Development Committee

The CNNC Development Commitee is responsible for coordinating development activities within the Central Northside. The Central Northside’s business district has long been decaying. The Committee diligently promotes development in the Central Nortisde in conjunction with the needs and wishes of the community. In furtherance thereof, the Committee helps prospective developers identify appropriate sites within the community for both residential and commercial usues, including housing and retail. The Committee also works with developers to ensure that community interests are taken into account during the design and implementation phase of development and construction.

Part of the Committee’s charge is to develop and update annually, a comprehensive housing strategy. Currently, the Committee is working with the constructs of the community wide master plan to anaylze housing needs and best practices to formulate a sustainable, long term strategy.
