City of Asylum Pittsburgh - Jazz Poetry Concert

Jazz Poetry will, weather gods permitting, be returning to Sampsonia Way this year. Details are on the attached poster.

I hope you can come– this is the first time we have ever had a piano at the concert. Our volunteer technical director (Dave Bjornson of the New Hazlett Theater) told me he liked challenges, so I thought, OK, let’s see how he does with this! Let’s put up a baby grand on Sampsonia Way. Dave is planning to line Sampsonia Way with speakers, all timed to the millisecond to adjust for the speed of sound as it travels down the alley.

Bios of the artists and more details can be found on our website:

Thanks to Sarah Adkins, we are now also expanding our digital horizons. Please check out our Facebook page and register as a friend. We will be updating the page with events and news. Should Jazz Poetry be relocated to the New Hazlett Theater due to rain, we will be posting the change to Facebook.
