Mission Statement
The Central Northside Neighborhood Council is dedicated to sustaining a diverse community, enhancing the lives for all residents and ensuring a sense of community cohesiveness by developing affordable housing, advocating for our neighbor’s needs, promoting quality of life and providing a public forum.
Please note that there is a new Mission Statement & Vision statement currently going through a voting process to amend in our bylaws, the second and final vote shall be held at the February 8th Membership Meeting:

Vision: The vision of the Central Northside Neighborhood Council is to create a safe, clean, affordable, and engaged community.
Proposed Vision Statement:
By end of 2015 CNNC will transform all our neighborhood’s vacant lots and empty storefronts by filling them with thriving individuals, commerce and families of all kinds.
CNNC is a Community-Based Organization (CBO) representing the neighborhood of the Central Northside in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Founded in 1970, the CNNC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that represents the residents of the Central Northside neighborhood. The organization has roughly 450 paid members, who serve on committees, meet monthly, and annually elect a board of directors.
CNNC is funded through: The City of Pittsburgh, Senator Jim Ferlo, ACCBO, CDCP, URA and PPND amongst various other funders.
